The Citizenship Preparation Program of Montgomery College, funded by a grant from USCIS through the Department of Homeland Security, is the go to for legal permanent residents of Maryland.
We offer two levels of class, from low beginning to high intermediate, and provide students with the English language, history, and civics knowledge they need to be successful during and after the naturalization process.
Classes are 60 hours long and are held in Rockville, Silver Spring and Wheaton, on Saturday mornings, Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday evenings.
The program has many students from many different countries, ranging from Iraq to the Ivory Coast, and Mexico to Malawi, with more than 25 different languages spoken.
The Citizenship Preparation Program encourages students to think beyond the naturalization test and interview and look at what it really means to become a citizen of the United States.
The Citizenship Preparation Program is one of President Barack Obama’s Champions of Change with regards to Immigration Integration President Obama's Champions of Change
Come and join our wonderful program and let us help you fulfill your dream of becoming a citizen of the United States of America.
